Daniel Buezo, Founder and CEO of Kids of Immigrants, named Chief Influencer

The Communications Board names Daniel Buezo, founder of Kids of Immigrants, as a Chief Influencer.

Buezo talks to Chief Influencer’s Anthony Shop about the inspiration behind his brand and the impact he wanted to make. Buezo and his best friend, Wella Dennis, created Kids of Immigrants as a way to express their passion for creating, empowering, and loving. They wanted to create something that brought people together instead of separating them, as they believed fashion often does.

Buezo discusses the importance of creating a brand that not only looks good and has taste, but also makes people feel good. They mention being inspired by Ralph Lauren and the American Heritage brands of their youth, but also realizing that these brands did not fully represent who they are as first-generation Americans. He shares how his friends and family supported him in the early stages, and how organic endorsements from artists like Kehlani and Bad Bunny helped increase brand awareness.

Buezo emphasizes the importance of staying true to one's values and learning to say no when necessary. He also discusses the significance of finding moments of silence for self-reflection and inspiration, and the benefits of meditation in calming anxiety and gaining clarity.

Buezo believes in the power of love and community in leadership, and sees himself as a role model for others. Overall, Buezo's story reflects the purpose-driven and community-oriented values of his brand, making him an inspiration for many.
