Greg Kihlstrom, Best-Selling Author, named Chief Influencer

The Communications Board names Greg Kihlstrom, best-selling author and host of the award-winning podcast, The Agile Brand with Greg Kihlström Podcast, as a Chief Influencer.

In this episode of Chief Influencer, host Anthony Shop speaks with Kihlstrom about the importance of being open to learning and adapting. Kihlstrom shares his entrepreneurial journey and his experiences with starting businesses, noting that he has learned more from failures than successes. Kihlstrom shares personal experiences of launching a podcast that didn't succeed, emphasizing the importance of quitting and trying new approaches when faced with setbacks.

Kihlstrom also talks about the difference in marketing for small organizations versus large enterprises, highlighting the evolving role of marketing leaders and the importance of managing change in a hybrid virtual world. Throughout the conversation, he stresses the significance of being comfortable with discomfort and being flexible to succeed.

Kihlstrom advocates for embracing new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) while being mindful of their ethical use and sharing expertise to help leaders navigate complex challenges. Kihlstrom uses social media as an example of how companies that initially prohibited its use are now training their employees to use it effectively. Kihlstrom believes that banning AI outright is counterproductive and that leaders have a role in helping their teams understand how to use these tools ethically and efficiently. Kihlstrom encourages organizations to explore use cases for AI rather than fearing it and to prioritize automation in areas where human errors frequently occur.
