Monica Goldson, CEO of Prince George’s County Public Schools, named Chief Influencer

The Communications Board names Dr. Monica Goldson, CEO of Prince George’s Public Schools, as a Chief Influencer.

Chief Infuencer’s Anthony Shop talks to Goldson about the importance of customized communication with stakeholders rather than a "one size fits all" approach. Goldson explains how using data to analyze what's working and what's not can lead to better communication and more effective ways to influence each stakeholder group.

Goldson later highlights the significance of using phone calls as a tool to build relationships with the community, and how she has bridged the digital divide in her school district by providing free Wi-Fi access to students who cannot afford it through a federal program called the Connectivity Act.

Finally, she discusses the importance of effective communication with every stakeholder, from students and parents to teachers and district leaders. Goldson also shares her tips for balancing the needs and concerns of different stakeholders and ensuring that everyone feels heard and valued.
