The case against using “we” in corporate communications

In the world of creative writing, it is extremely rare for anything to be written in the first-person plural. However, in the corporate world, it’s ubiquitous. Using the word “We” may seem harmless when introducing a change in policy or the company’s official position, but it can also suggest that the company’s motives are employee-driven. A corporate communications expert makes the case for using “We” less in company messaging.

Banning TikTok would not protect your data

The targeting of TikTok by Congress has been a topic of conversation in social media and communications circles. But if the House’s bill becomes law and the app divests to a U.S. company, this bill would not prevent TikTok under new ownership from selling data directly to foreign adversaries.
