Survey: People trust businesses and corporations more than the government

Global PR agency, Edelman, released its annual Trust Barometer, based on an online survey of 32,000 people around the world. It revealed that businesses are more trusted than governments, NGOs, or media. According to Edelman, trust in business in the 21 countries monitored has risen from 48% in 2012 to 61% today. What do the conclusions mean during a major election year?
